Know what your app costs to run.
Pro includes $10 of Cloud usage each month and Business includes $20. Published apps draw from that budget at the rates below; building and editing use AI credits instead.
Database
Postgres compute while awake, stored data and data transfer.
- Compute
- $0.265 / CU-hour
- About $0.066 for an hour at the 0.25 CU minimum; sleeping databases use no compute.
- Storage
- $0.875 / GB-month
- Measured over time rather than from a single high-water mark.
- Data transfer
- $0.25 / GB
- Data transferred out of the managed database.
App runtime
Requests and server-side work performed by each published app.
- Requests
- $0.75 / 1M
- Every request served by a published app at the edge.
- CPU time
- $0.05 / 1M CPU-ms
- Only the processing time used by server-side code.
- Scheduled runs
- $0.05 / 1,000
- Each scheduled trigger that runs automatically.
Storage & email
Published versions, app uploads and managed sign-in email.
- File storage
- $0.0375 / GB-month
- Published versions and files uploaded by the people using your app.
- Managed email
- $0.25 / 1,000
- Sign-in emails sent through BerryBell's managed email service.
Pricing questions
01 How do credits work? + –
Building spends AI credits, priced from what the underlying models actually cost. One credit is worth $0.25. The advanced SEO checks on paid plans — site crawls, keyword research, competitor gaps and rank tracking — draw on the same credits, priced from what the search data costs. Paid plans also include a hosting budget, in dollars, for running the apps you deploy. Plan allotments reset each billing cycle; anything you top up carries over until it is used.
02 What do I get on the free plan? + –
A one-time welcome grant of 20 AI credits and $5 of hosting budget when you sign up, then 5 fresh AI credits every day — no credit card. The daily credits are a reset rather than a running total, so they do not stack up: an unused day does not roll into the next. The daily grant applies to one workspace per person — the oldest one you own that is not on a paid plan.
03 How much does Pro cost? + –
Pro starts at $25/mo for 100 AI credits, or $250 billed yearly (shown as $21/mo after rounding). You can also choose 200, 400, 1,000 or 2,000 credits a month, up to $500/mo. Every Pro option includes the same $10 monthly Cloud usage budget.
04 Why is Business more than the credit price? + –
Business is a shared credit pool plus a per-seat fee. The pool starts at $25/mo for 100 pooled credits, seats are $20 each per month, and the minimum is 5 seats — so the starting price is $125/mo, or $1,250 billed yearly. Business includes $20 of Cloud usage a month, up to 3 custom environments per project, and 3 custom builds a year with Expert Assist on annual billing.
05 Do bigger plans give cheaper credits? + –
No. Every paid plan option uses the same $0.25 per AI credit. Larger plans buy more monthly credits, not cheaper credits, and top-ups are also sold at face value.
06 Can the free plan run scheduled jobs? + –
No. Scheduled jobs — your app's own code on a timer, like a morning digest or a nightly clean-up — are part of Pro and Business. Every run wakes your app's database, and the free plan has no hosting budget to pay for that. On the free plan the AI won't set one up, and if your app already declares one, publishing still puts your app live and the job waits until you upgrade.
07 What counts as Cloud usage? + –
Cloud usage covers the resources used by published apps: database compute, storage and transfer; app requests and CPU time; scheduled runs; file storage; and managed sign-in email. Pro includes $10 a month and Business includes $20 a month. Your workspace shows the current cycle broken down by resource.
08 What happens if I run out of AI credits? + –
On a paid plan you can top up at any time, or move up a credit tier; buying a top-up needs a paid plan, so a free workspace waits for the next daily reset or upgrades. Top-ups are sold at face value — $10 buys $10 of credit — with no bonus and no volume discount, on purpose: a discounted top-up would be the cheapest credit in the catalog and the only kind that carries over, which would price the on-demand rail below every plan.
09 What happens if my hosting budget runs out? + –
Deployed apps are paused rather than billed on. A paid workspace gets a small overdraft buffer first; a free one pauses at the first unpayable window. While an app is paused it serves a short holding page and its database endpoints are switched off, so nothing keeps running up a bill you did not agree to. Add credit and it comes straight back — resuming is automatic and does not wait for a sweep.
10 Can I change plans later? + –
Yes. Upgrades apply immediately and are invoiced for the prorated difference, with the extra credits granted on the spot. Downgrades take effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you can cancel a scheduled downgrade before it lands.
11 Do you offer annual billing? + –
Yes — an annual plan bills ten months for twelve months of service, so two months are free. The $25 Pro option is $250 billed yearly and displays as $21/mo after rounding; the $125 Business minimum is $1,250 billed yearly and displays as $104/mo. Annual is also the only term that includes Expert Assist.
